The Men’s Chorus was established in 1998 to provide the opportunity for male singers from across the UT campus to share the joy of singing together. The group performs a wide variety of musical styles, including classical, folksongs, spirituals, and traditional glee club repertoire. The pursuit of musical excellence is combined with a dynamic social experience and service to the UT community. The Men’s Chorus performs a joint concert each semester with the UT Women’s Chorus, participates in the annual Texas Choral Holiday Concert and Songs of the Season, and joins the other UT choirs for special concerts. Around campus, the Men’s Chorus performs informally, such as singing the National Anthem at UT Men’s Basketball games and singing on the West Mall.
How to join
All those who would like to be part of a choral ensemble must have an audition. Graduate and under‐grads, and even those who were in a choral ensemble in the past semester are all required to have an audition at the start of the Fall 2011 semester. To schedule an audition, students will have to sign up for a time slot; sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin boards outside of MBE 2.116. Individual auditions for the fall semester will be held in August several days before the first class day.
NonMusic Majors: Elect the choral ensemble you would like to join in your schedule, then sign up for a non‐music major audition on the audition sheets in MBE. You do not need to prepare any music. The professors just ask that you warm your voice.

Spring auditions are only scheduled by the listed professor and are only if there is space in the ensemble.
